The word counter and manual outline planner run in your browser. Text entered there is not sent to Essaybot. If enabled, the AI essay guide sends your topic, assignment, or draft to OpenAI for that request. We do not save visitor prompts, drafts, outlines, or feedback in our database or analytics. We keep content-free usage records for 90 days and short-lived abuse identifiers for up to 48 hours. Provider retention can still apply even with store=false. We use a signed session cookie for request protection. Traffic and page-time logs retain the request IP, browser user agent, public page path, and anonymous browser/session identifiers for up to 60 days. Timing estimates count visible-tab time; they do not record your writing or searches. Analytics uses private hashes for visitor estimates. There is no saved draft history.
